First foot print in R&D

26 April 2005

Around 4.30pm, make my first step to the R&D office in PCM after changing the company uniform. There’s some pros and cons bout the uniform, pros is not need to spend on outfit, no need to trouble my mum to hand wash my expensive office suit, just throw in to washing machine only… but the cons is everyone will look the same, for a guy like me, there is no motivation coz every girl wear the same uniform, nothing I can discuss or observe or even doing research on their fashion style, body figure and so on…

The first step that I move in to R&D office just like Neil Armstrong making his first step on the moon oso, Wow… kind a bit shock…the first impression that pop out from my mind is it more looks like a securities firm, that all stock brokers are busy picking phone, coz the whole office is flooded by the phone ringing sound as they are doing testing for fax machine and telephone as well.

I’m gonna thank god coz I was arrange to sit beside my jap boss, Kotsuki-san. Haha, plan to friend friend with him at first but can’t do it due to generation gap, communication barrier and etc unless I going to communicate with him by using my unique body language, which is pointing middle finger… haha, luckily it doesn’t happen!!

Like usual, having an introduction about all member in software divisions, really can’t remember all fellow except those I know b4.

Where the story begins...

25 April 2005

All right, its time for me to experience my working life after resting for 1 week for that unforgettable cycling trip from Skudai to Kota Bahru.  Wake up at 6.45am (OMG, never wake up so early after my secondary school life), getting all ready and well prepared for my first day in Panasonic Communication Malaysia.

I admit that I am not a loyal people, keep searching job before I grad and even I have got offer from company. The funny thing is I never mention my result during interview or even listed down in my resume coz it is damn sucks lousy… hehe… but dun know why I still manage to get 4 offer out of 5 interviews. Haha maybe I was born as a liar I think….

Feel a bit sorry for the company that I done my practical training before… I keep bargain with them and make the salary almost the same with PCM, but at last I reject them even though they have prepared the offer letter that just waiting for my signature. I am just wanna experience in new environment and have a look in those multinational company, how they functioning and their management style! That’s why I choose PCM.

Back to the topic, I was brought to the HRDC room by En. Roszi for orientation and I meet a few newbies like me, kang, chyi, Omar and Fairus which all from UTM and going to become engineer in R&D.

OMG, orientation will be 1.5 days, so boring, but nvm lah… those big company got lots of money and let their worker teaching class for thousands of rules and regulations, plus policy and others grandmum’s stories…. Heheee
